Fonts Brainstorm

I decided that since I have an overall idea of what I want to be on my different pages, it is finally time to be looking into specific fonts.

For the cover, I looked into the masthead being a font called "Children's Party" from 1001fonts.com. I wanted the cover line to reflect the Halloween season/event, so I chose Riky Vampdator Normal (from 1001fonts.com). Since I wanted my magazine to have a modern aura as well, I chose the rest of the font on the page to be in a sans-serif, simple font (Biko from dafont.com).

The table of contents could also be in Biko, as well as the caption on the first feature spread and for the byline. The title, however, I want in Benguiat Bold (the font used in hit TV show Stranger Things, as Universal's Halloween Horror Nights has used the show in their lineup of houses).

For the second feature spread, the title will have a mixture of fonts like I had done in the mock-up. "SEE" will be in the Biko font, in bold, likely. "Before you" will be in Cedarville cursive and "SCREAM" will be in Exquisite Corpse. Most, if not all, of these fonts are on 1001fonts.com. The subheadings can also be in Biko and the numbers, as I mentioned in another post, will be in iTC Willow.

This font package is unfinished and subject to change as I haven't yet placed the fonts on a real mock-up page together.
